CAM, Inc. has begun clearing an 8.8-acre parcel along Corporate Woods Parkway within its Akron Canton Corporate Park (ACCP). The site work is being done in preparation for the development of two, multi-tenant buildings totaling more than 108,000 sq. ft. of flexible light manufacturing, assembly, warehouse/distribution and office space. The two buildings, approximately 60,000 sq. ft. and 40,000 sq. ft. respectively will be marketed as part of the new Akron Canton Business Center 6&7. The project marks the first new building footprint within the company’s ACCP real estate portfolio in more than a decade. Driven by the need for more flexible build to suit, commercial and industrial space, the facility(s) will offer high bay space; reinforced concrete floors; truck, dock & drive through capabilities; energy efficient HVAC, sprinklered, lighting systems; office/meeting areas and abundant parking. The site is located within the city of Green, halfway between Akron and Canton with easy access to the interstate highway system: I-77; I-76; I-277; Ohio Routes 8;241; 30; one exit north of the Akron-Canton Airport.
